Singapore's Budget 2026 Just Made It Easier to Get Grant Support — If You Know Where to Look
What happened
Budget 2026 consolidates three of Singapore's main SME grant schemes — the Market Readiness Assistance grant, the Productivity Solutions Grant, and the Enterprise Development Grant — into a single streamlined scheme called EDGE, open to all Singapore businesses including non-SMEs. Support levels for internationalisation and business adaptation have also been enhanced to up to 70% for SMEs from 1 April 2026.
Our take
The headline change isn't the money — it's the paperwork. A lot of small business owners we talk to don't apply for grants they're actually eligible for, simply because navigating three separate schemes felt like a part-time job on its own. Consolidating MRA, PSG, and EDG into one entry point removes a real friction point, not just a cosmetic one. If you've been putting off applying for support because the application maze felt like more trouble than it's worth, this is genuinely worth a second look.
